In February 2026, a South Korean woman identified as “Kim” was arrested and charged in a criminal case.

This market will resolve to “YES” if the court in Kim’s first-instance criminal trial sentences her to life imprisonment (무기징역) on any count related to this case on or before December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM KST. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "NO."

Appeals do not affect resolution. Only the first-instance judgment matters.

The primary resolution source will be official court or government statements. However, a consensus of credible reporting (such as Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, or Yonhap) may also be used.
